Twitter has launched a new browser game to help users explain their new Privacy Policy. This is definitely a unique way to share boring but important information with millions of users.

The beginning of the game reads:

It’s a beautiful day in the Twitterverse! Take a walk through the streets of PrivaCity with your best friend Data to the park. Follow the instructions to keep it safe and learn how to control your own Twitter experience.

When you launch the Twitter Data Dash, you have the option to choose your character to walk your Data dog in PrivaCity. In a side-scrolling platform format, you use your keyboard and mouse to navigate “cat ads”—cats dressed as ads—and other obstacles along the way.

Dodge cat ads, navigate a sea of private messages, fight trolls, and learn to control your Twitter experience.

Created by Momo Pixel, the game is actually quite fun and reminiscent of early 2000s online games from Disney Channel. Let’s see if other platforms also create funny content describing their privacy policies.

As part of marketing its updated Privacy Policy, the company wanted to take a different approach to communicate clear and easy-to-understand information. The company tweeted: “Starting today, you can see updates to our privacy policy and terms of service in the app through your settings and on our updated privacy policy website.”

The future of the platform seems a bit uncertain right now after Elon Musk recently bought out the company. Musk has yet to announce his plans for the social media giant’s privacy policy, but he has other plans.
