In the past it was co-op mode always an important part of the Halo games. The fans were all the more displeased when it became known that Halo Infinite did not contain such a mode at launch.
But that doesn’t mean he’s not coming. And he does. As before was waiting until the campaign co-op in Halo Infinite is available and you can play together with a friend. In our guide we show you the current status.
When is Halo Infinite co-op coming?
The fact that there is no co-op mode for the campaign in Halo Infinite at launch was a real blow to the community. The good news is that it’s an afterthought. However, it still needs some time.
Initially planned for May 2022, the release was pushed back again. As part of the 2022 roadmap, 343 Industries recently confirmed that end of August 2022 as the period for the publication of the Online co-op mode for the campaign is aimed at.
Mind you what not for the split-screen co-op option is applicable. You’ll have to wait longer for them. This possibility is just coming season 3so no earlier than November 2022.
Given the delays so far, you probably shouldn’t take this as 100 percent secure just yet. Postponements are still possible.
Summarized:
- Online co-op: Expected August 2022
- Split-screen co-op: Season 3 (no sooner than November 2022)
How does co-op work in Halo Infinite?
It is already known that you can play in co-op mode at any time. There are no specific areas or story sections that you just have to complete alone.
The co-op mode should also allow you to fight your way through the campaign and be more flexible when attacking enemy bases by attacking them from two sides.
Another issue right now is that the Halo Infinite campaign missions are currently not repeatable. That too is about to change. As of now, 343 Industries is also striving end of August 2022 as the timeframe for the release of this feature.
