IT House May 11 news, Microsoft announced today that it has begun to roll out cumulative update version 22616.100 (KB5014650), but this update does not contain any new content, mainly to test the service channels that Microsoft has built in the development and testing channels.
IT House learned that Microsoft released the Win11 Dev & Beta 22616 version update last week, and announced that the window period for Dev to switch the beta channel without loss is about to close (the next version will stagger the version number).
There are two major features in the 22616 update. Microsoft decided to cancel the changes to the system tray that were just introduced in Build 22581, specifically “Show hidden icons”, which means you can now sort by dragging the icons in the taskbar tray.
Additionally, Windows Insiders on Windows 11 Pro will now be asked to connect to the Internet during initial device setup (OOBE), although this condition will only be triggered if you set it up for personal use, or if it’s a work or school device Nothing has changed.
