Several bicycles sold by the Carrefour, Système U and Intersport brands are affected by a vast recall campaign. How do you know if yours also has a brake fault?

Indeed, on Twitter, the government organization Alerte Conso is ringing the bell on brake problems concerning bicycles equipped with the Radius brand.

The manufacturer equips many brands such as Scrapper, Vario, Nakamura or even TVT and WoodSun. This Monday, May 9, many bicycles are the subject of a recall campaign. According to the organization, the risks involved are not less. On the Rappel Conso website, it is mentioned that users could have external injuries. It is therefore advisable to no longer use the product, and to contact the point of sale to return it.

How do you know if your bike is affected?

If you have had your bike for more than two years, rest assured, you are not in theory concerned. Vehicles sold between February 1, 2021 and April 28, 2022, on the other hand, present risks.

To make sure you can put on the miles aboard your trusty steed, just go to the site rappel.conso.gouv.fr in the section “automobiles and means of transport”‘. Then, find the brand of your bike and look at the model names and references. If in doubt, you can also contact your seller for more information.

Several French sellers are concerned, for bikes with electric assistance of the TVT brand for example, the brands Cora, Système, Center Auto and Brico/Intermarché, Leclerc and SPL have sold the model concerned. For SUNN bikes, it is at Intersport and independent cycle sellers that the models concerned have been marketed.
