At Microsoft’s Ability Summit accessibility conference, the company has launched three new adapters for computers in the Adaptive series.

Adaptive Mouse is a modular mouse that basically consists of a small square with two buttons and a scroll wheel on the top and laser sensor on the bottom. It can be used as it is, but can also be placed in a “tail”.

The mouse comes with one that has a removable thumb rest (so you can choose between right- and left-handed with the same mouse), but other variants will also be sold and users can create tails that suit their needs using a 3D printer. .

Adaptive Hub is what it sounds like, a hub for additional accessories: Up to four Adaptive Buttons and more accessories via 3.5-millimeter connector. The hub is connected via bluetooth.

Adaptive Button is basically a joystick in the form of a large button that can be pressed in eight different directions for different programmable functions. A user can, for example, control it with an arm stub or fist, but the button itself can also be removed and replaced with a small joystick or something else.

All three products will be released later this year.
