Since the XAC, or Xbox Adaptive Controller in long form, there have been no new accessibility-centric accessories from Microsoft. Four years later, the company unveils a new range that enriches the selection. A collection of several peripherals allowing to have a customizable ecosystem according to the needs of each one. It is therefore a whole versatile set which should arrive fall 2022 !
It is in partnership with the community that the Seattle giant. These are three elements that constitute the starting base: an adaptive mouse, buttons and a Hub. The idea is to be able to build on its peripherals through 3D printing to adapt. For example, the mouse can be completed with a tail or a thumb support increasing the range of possibilities. The Hub, meanwhile, allows you to connect via USB-C or wirelessly up to three additional peripherals as well as 4 adaptive buttons. For now, compatibility is announced with Microsoft Surface as well as PCs. Note that there is no other mainstream company that invests so much in this area. Let’s give Caesar what is Caesar’s. We still hope that it will be extended to the Xbox Series X | S, where the public is also waiting for them!
