Users of the new 2021 MacBook Pros are complaining about crackling and popping sounds from the speakers when playing any content.
According to posts on the Apple support forum and on Reddit, the problem occurs randomly when a song, video, or any other sound is played on the MacBook. In this case, the clicking of the speakers becomes more noticeable at high volume levels or high tones.
Some of the affected users believe that the problem is due to a software bug, as they managed to replace computers with new ones at Apple, but the strange sounds did not go away.
One of the Reddit users found a temporary solution to this problem – it is enough to close the macOS “coreaudiod” process in the Activity Monitor application.
Most likely, Apple will fix this bug in a future macOS update.
