2021 MacBook Pro owners are complaining about sound issues from the speakers. Complaints have appeared on Apple forum and Reddit.
The problem occurs randomly when a song, video, or any sound is playing on the MacBook. At this point, the speakers may crackle and make pops. This is especially noticeable at high volume.
I have a problem with a 2021 16″ M1 Pro (base model). I hear crackling noise from my laptop speakers when watching videos or listening to music. I had the same problem with an M1 Max that I traded in for this M1 Pro.

Some users believe that this is a software bug, as Apple replaced the MacBook with it, but the problem remains.
One of the Reddit visitors confirmed this theory. He found that speaker problems could be temporarily fixed by ending the coreaudiod process in the stock System Monitor app.
