Have a Nice Death: The first major update has arrived

Since the Early Access launch of their roguelite, Have a Nice Death, the developers at Magic Design Studios have been rolling out regular updates. If the previous ones were mainly there to correct several problems encountered by the players, that of this tuesday 10 maybrought some noveltieswhich should appeal to players.

• Lobby Challenges : Josiane, the Flow Logistics Manager, offers the lift between two runs a selection of tough challenges to take up. Each challenge will unlock immediate bonuses, such as new weapons or new spells. Some challenges involve serious consequences in case of failure (reduction of life points, reduction of mana points, etc.).

• Full access to the Modern Warfare Department : New level, with five new enemies: a veteran armed with an explosive barrel, a fire-breathing arsonist, a homing soldier, a crazy pilot bombarding the player from the air, a headless character with mines.

• Break Room Improvements and New Chill Out Area :
  • Added the Fountain to Anima, in the Break Room, allowing Soulary to be exchanged for Animas, restoring life.
  • Added a “bit capricious” dispenser that can reward you with an item or inflict damage on you.
  • Addition of the relaxation area, where a “cup of coffee” will be offered.

• New Thanagers : Added new mini-bosses:
  • Leon Clean : floor technician who is responsible for keeping the Hall of Eternity spotless. Its powerful vacuum throws all kinds of dirt.
  • X4-H : Mutagen who has taken control of the Industrial Pollution Department, is unstable and has abundant saliva.
  • Richard J. Barron : A former shady oil magnate, Richard J. Barron is part of the acquisitions of the Industrial Pollution Department.
  • Madame Camille Flage : Wandering through the Modern Warfare Department, she will unleash her fury with vertical attacks.

• New spells : Several new spells added, such as one allowing to “roast” enemies from a distance, another dealing huge damage with a single strike, etc.

In addition, the developers at Magic Design Studios took advantage of this update to correct some bugs and make improvements in terms of playing comfort.

As a reminder, Have a Nice Death is currently available in Early Access on PC, via the Steam platform. The developers have not communicated on the release date of version 1.0 of the title, nor if it will arrive on other gaming platforms in the future.
