There will soon be more variety in “The Division 2”, because Season 9 “Hidden Alliance” will be released this week. You can also take part in a free weekend.

Ubisoft will launch Season 9 of The Division 2 on May 12, 2022, the Hidden Alliance, which will be accompanied by the Countdown PvE mode and Title Update 15. The new season will be made available to all players who own The Division 2: The Warlords of New York.

Hidden Alliance brings with it a new enemy. With a new target, Captain Lewis, on the loose, the Division must gather intel and take out four high-ranking True Sons before confronting him.

The new Countdown co-op mode sends up to eight players to a power plant where they have 15 minutes to stabilize it and avoid a lockdown. Deployed in two teams of four, the agents start in different locations on the map and must work together to complete the challenge.

During the course of this challenge, players will encounter some familiar enemies that they must fend off in order to secure said power plant. At the end you have to call the evacuation helicopters before the time runs out.

Know-how as a new feature

With “Know-how” comes a new feature in the shooter: From May 12th, it offers the possibility to improve equipment and upgrade basic values such as damage, armor and skills.

As a player, you can increase your know-how by using every item in the game. The feature aims to give players the opportunity to increase the base stats of each individual item and reach a new performance limit.

You don’t have to do without new weapons and equipment in the new season either: According to Ubisoft, the new update will contain a variety of new items, including the Heartbreaker gear set, new exotic objects, new named objects and more. New rewards are added with the Season 9 Pass.
