With the new Windows 11 25136 is currently testing the tabs in File Explorer (with a new ID). So it may well be that if the test is passed, the tabs will be integrated into Windows 11 22H2 by August.
But you are testing in the new Insider Build instead of showing the weather other content, e.g. share prices in the taskbar. But that’s not all. In Insider Build 25136, the search button has also been moved to the left for some that have centered the icons in the taskbar.
The search itself is currently opening further in the middle. I assume that Microsoft is doing a test here to place more widgets as buttons next to the weather. We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the near future. If you have the icons in the taskbar on the left, you will not notice any change. A PS afterwards: If you still get to see the web content in the search and search bar, you can deactivate it.
If you have installed the 25136 and the search does not appear on the left, you can activate or deactivate it with the ViVeTool.
- Download and unzip ViveTool or ViveTool GUI.
- Command prompt (administrator): ViVeTool.exe addconfig 37010913 2
- PowerShell (Administrator) .ViVeTool.exe addconfig 37010913 2
- Search for the ID 37010913 or SearchBoxLowerLeft in the ViveTool GUI and activate it. Or if you don’t want to test it anymore, deactivate it.
- You can then deactivate it again via ViVeTool.exe delconfig 37010913 2
