Geoff Keighley wanted to organize a small insert dedicated to Japanese games during his Summer Game Fest Showcase. It was an opportunity to find One Piece Odyssey, the first own production of the Japanese studio Ilca. The game announced by Bandai-Namco earlier this year has therefore shown itself through a new trailer.
A video that confirms without too much surprise a cast made up of the entire Straw Hat crew. We also see the disaster arrival of Luffy and his companions on an island full of mysteries. It is recalled that this new adventure will be supervised by Eiichiro Oda but will be completely independent of the history of the manga, as was already the case with World Seeker. Big difference in terms of gameplay, however, since One Piece Odyssey will adopt a JRPG-style turn-based gameplay.
Still no precise release date to put in your mouth for the moment, but the game is still set for this year.
