A few months ago, rumors in the hallway evoked a rapprochement between ASUS and the Austrian company Noctua specializing in silent cooling systems.
It was thus mentioned a graphics card from the RTX 3000 range with a custom cooling system, developed and produced by Noctua. A first graphics card was born from this partnership around an Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU.
Today, the card is moving upmarket and available in RTX 3080 to become a real monster in every sense of the word.
Maximum size
Using Nvidia’s GA102 chip, the card only has 10 GB of RAM, but it will take some space. The proposed cooling solution includes two 120 mm fans with an oversized radiator which creates a handicap for small towers: the card alone occupies 4 PCI Express slots.
The connection remains traditional: two 8-pin power ports, three displayPort connectors and two HDMI 2.1. No date of marketing has been communicated, but its price is known: 1150€.
