The wait is finally coming to an end for the reveal of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. After introducing the members of the Task Force 141the release date and released a teaser live action, Activision and Infinity Ward shared this Wednesday the first trailer for FPSgiving us a good taste of the campaign that awaits us at the end of the year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam and Battle.net).

This episode, described as “more ambitious and innovative” of the license, promises us a new gunsmith system to customize our weaponsfrom gameplay strategy requiring the wise use of night vision and stealth, with amphibious assaults, confrontations in vehicles and much more. In addition to solo, of the Special operations in co-op will be present and the traditional Multiplayer will benefit from anti-cheat technology Ricochet.
It will also obviously be used in the one that must henceforth be called Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0still planned for this year and intended to be an evolution of the Battle Royale with an all-new sandbox play space, which will be incorporated into the annual episode after launch. It will benefit from “new content and new progression systems and new inventories” and as MWII oftechnical advances in artificial intelligence affecting the gaming experience, such as patterns enemies and movements of civilians who will cross our path with the aim of better reacting in real time to our choices. Both projects use for the first time in the history of the series a unified game engine based on that of Modern Warfare (2019)which will undoubtedly be the standard in the future, allowing the use of up-to-date photogrammetry technique with what is currently being done in the field, hybrid streaming, realistic physical rendering, volumetric lighting, new renderings of the underwater, 4K HDR, better 3D model locomotion, and a new geometry pipeline GPU.
And that the players of Call of Duty: Warzone reassure themselves, it will persist “as a separate experience and will allow to keep the progression and the inventories of the players”. In passing, it was recalled thata new experience Warzone for mobiles is also in development.
PC gamers should also expect a fully optimized experience for the platform, developed by Beenox.
