The release of Madden NFL 23 is expected for August 19 and interesting information had appeared on the official Xbox site for a few moments. The game featured the mention of Xbox Game Pass, suggesting a Day One release in Microsoft’s subscription. But Electronic Arts puts an end to the suspense by evoking an error.
Madden NFL 23 won’t be released directly to Xbox Game Pass
Usually, fans of the genre have to wait about six months before seeing the latest Madden game land in the EA Play catalog, and therefore in the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass PC subscription. But a mention “included with Xbox Game Pass” suggested that the new opus, Madden NFL 23, would be released in Xbox Game Pass Day One.
The mention was seen on the official Xbox site for a few minutes before disappearing.
We could have imagined an announcement during the Xbox and Bethesda conference, but Electronic Arts confirmed to GameSpot that it was a mistake. “This was an error in the way Madden NFL 23 was displayed on Xbox.com and has since been corrected. Madden NFL 23 will not be available with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate ». So it’s not for now.
As a reminder, all the news of the Summer Game Fest and the Xbox conference will be to follow on Xboxygen with all the conferences commented and broadcast live on our accounts. Youtube, Twitch and Facebook from 7:30 p.m. this Thursday, June 9.
