Autumn could be loaded with AirPods, according to the latest delivery of the newsletter Weekly by Mark Gurman. We can indeed expect the launch of the second generation of AirPods Pro, three years after the original version – as the snooper of Bloomberg explains, buyers of the first model are probably having battery problems now, so it’s high time to change it.

These new AirPods Pro are a bit like the Arlesian. We have lost count of the number of rumors in recent months around this second generation! Either way, the headphones are expected to sport a new design, possibly stemless, as well as support for lossless. Apple would have found a way to break the bottleneck of Bluetooth which limits the volume of data transmitted between the iPhone and the AirPods.

Gurman is also planning new colors for the AirPods Max! The chunky noise canceling headphones currently come in 5 colors (space gray, silver, green, pink, and sky blue). He also hopes for a price drop but nothing is less certain. The public price is 629 €, but in fact the product is easily found under 500 €… and sometimes even less.

Mark Gurman didn’t see anything else in his crystal ball for the AirPods Max, but hopefully the headphones will be able to play lossless like the AirPods Pro 2. And, let’s be crazy, he might barter its Lightning port for USB-C…
