Here is some news that is likely to satisfy a large number of fans… During an interview with Kinda Funny XcastJoseph Staten, the creative manager of Halo Infiniteindicated that classic maps could join the game! To the question “why didn’t 343 Industries integrate the maps of the old episodes?” Staten replied “That’s a good idea”.
“There are a lot of cards that are great. I think it would be great to play on these maps, don’t you? I’m writing it down in my to-do book!”
Said like that, one could almost think of irony, but the tone given let suppose that the idea is in progress. Halo Infinite launched with almost unanimous positive feedback. But like any good game, the content quickly proved to be limited. The discontent is rising, despite the arrival of two new cards with season 2, now available. So much so that the MCC-Collection recently passed on Steam in number of simultaneous players. Integrating these classic maps would bring people back, and expand the offer. But the gameplay being different in Infinity, the defector will certainly take time, not to mention the graphics upgrade. And risks slowing down, all the more, the new content… But if that happens, let’s not sulk our pleasure, the classics remain immortal!
