In the evening we received the next rumor about the release period of “God of War: Ragnarök”. And this is unlikely to please the fewest: As the Spanish colleagues from Game Reactor report, citing several European sources, the release of the action title is to be postponed to 2023.

In the course of today we have already reached new rumours on the possible release date of the long-awaited action title “God of War: Ragnarök”.

For example, the PlayStation Game Sizes Twitter channel reported that the God of War: Ragnarok release date placeholder in the PlayStation Network databases has been updated from September 30, 2022 to December 31, 2022. This would indicate that the release could take place during the fourth quarter. If we believe a recent report from Game Reactor Spain, things could get even worse for the waiting fans.

As the magazine reports, citing various sources, “God of War: Ragnarök” is to be postponed to the coming year.



Nothing has been officially confirmed so far

However, apart from the postponement to 2023, the editors of Game Reactor Spain did not go into further detail. The sources on which the reports about the postponement to next year are based were also not mentioned. To make matters worse, the information provided by Game Reactor Spain has not yet been confirmed by either Sony Interactive Entertainment or the responsible developers at Sony Santa Monica Studios.

The current state of affairs: Even if no new details or even tangible gameplay material for “God of War: Ragnarök” have been published in the past few months, officials have at least repeatedly assured that the new adventure of Kratos and Atreus is definitely still will be released in 2022.
