Illustrator who worked at Rockstar Games, notably on the games GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, Mark Scicluna is doing the rounds of the web thanks to his latest work which he shares on his Instagram account. Indeed, a little over a year ago, he decided to start designing vintage comic book covers from the 60s and 70s based on video games. The Last of Us, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandiccot, Days Gone, Resident Evil, Horizon Zero Dawn (and its sequel Forbidden West), Red Dead Redemption, Spyro, God of War, Twisted Metal, Dead Space, Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima and even Dino Crisis, nothing escapes him. We find all the elements that refer to this blessed era of American comic strips: from the pencil stroke to the typo, through the dull colors of the time, Mark Scicluna even thought of giving an aged rendering, worn those books we would love to buy. That’s good, it’s possible to buy his drawings on their RedBubble account. The prices are more than reasonable since each cover will cost you the sum of 22.69€, excluding postage. To follow what he does, we suggest you subscribe to his account instagram Where Twitter.
