Here is one more rumor which is confirmed with the Xbox announcements of the day. As mentioned just yesterday in our columns, Xbox will offer game demos for Xbox Game Pass members. But that’s not all, since Microsoft also announces the availability of Xbox games in the Cloud when purchasing them.
More games available in the cloud for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members
These are two announcements in one that drop today, and they both aim to offer even more choices to play where you want and when you want.
The first information is that subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to play via the cloud a selection of titles that they already own or that they have purchased outside of the Xbox Game Pass library.
This may seem trivial, but it is an evolution in the offer offered by Xbox. Although the list of this “selection of titles” remains to be discovered when the service is offered “later this year”, buying a game and being able to play it in the cloud from anywhere when you want remains quite attractive. It remains to be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
This kind of possibility is obviously to hang up with project Keystone, a new Xbox console designed exclusively for playing games in the Cloud. Project Moorcroft: playable demos coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2023
Like what Sony announced with the new PlayStation Plus, Microsoft is following suit with Project Moorcroft, a program that will allow you to try out certain game demos when you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.
As the most recent rumors predicted, developers who participate in this program will be compensated to “facilitate the opportunity to show their creations on Xbox and reach new audiences with the Game Pass”.
