Zou Jing, an expert in photosensitive materials in China and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, died in Tianjin on June 9, 2022, at the age of 86.

According to the data, Zou Jing was born in Shanghai in February 1936, and his ancestral home is Pinghu, Zhejiang. In 1960, he graduated from the Leningrad Film Engineering Institute of the Soviet Union with a degree in process engineer.

After returning to China in 1960, he worked in Baoding Film Film Factory (now China Lucky Group Co., Ltd.). He was the chief expert and professor-level senior engineer of the Research Institute of China Lucky Group Co., Ltd., and was concurrently a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chemical Engineering of Tianjin University.In 1994, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Zou Jing has been in the front line of scientific research for a long time, engaged in the research of photosensitive materials and the development of new products. Since the 1970s,Zou Jing has presided over the development of three generations of Lucky color film, making the domestic color film from scratch and the quality approaching the international advanced level in the early 1990s.

Her outstanding contribution also made China the fourth country to develop and produce color film on its own after the United States, Germany and Japan.
