IT House May 8 news, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to release this fall2nd generation AirPods Prowhich is rumored to feature a new design, improved audio quality, and integrate some health features.
Gurman wrote in his latest Power On newsletter:
Apple will launch the new AirPods Pro in the fall. The AirPods Pro haven’t been iterated since the fall of 2019, so for some early adopters, the battery may be running out. In addition, AirPods Max headphones will also be available in new colors (hopefully cheaper, $550 is too expensive).
IT House has learned that AirPods Pro has not been updated since its launch in 2019, and there are multiple sources that a new model will be launched this year. Gurman’s statement is consistent with information previously shared by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who said the new AirPods Pro will be released in the second half of this year.
The new AirPods Pro may feature a more compact design, a new charging case and new lossless audio protocol support.
