Goalkeeper Sven Ulreich will stay with Bayern Munich for the 2022/23 season after renewing his expiring contract with the Bundesliga champions on Saturday. The 33-year-old Ulreich is back-up to first-choice captain Manuel Neuer and has been at the club since 2015, with the exception of one season spent at second tier SV Hamburg. “Bayern has become like a family over all these years,” Ulreich said. “I’m looking forward to another year here. “I enjoy the job behind a world goalkeeper like Manuel Neuer, and we have a friendly, collegiate relationship between us.”
