IT House May 8 news, as early as more than a month ago, Intel assured customers that the driver of Intel’s ARC graphics card will usher in an update, and Intel has created a separate branch code for the ARC and Iris drivers.

Originally Intel planned to provide a new driver for ARC graphics cards by the end of April, the new driver includes disabling the ability to optimize the UL benchmark (the UL benchmark better known as 3D Mark). And will provide an option that allows the user to choose to activate or deactivate the optimization function, which can make the user’s running score in the UL more effective. Due to the current lack of this option, according to UL’s policy, any UI 3D Mark tests that include optimized processing will be considered invalid. And Intel’s optimization will increase the running score by 15%.

Lisa Pearce, vice president and general manager of Intel’s Visual Computing Group, previously said: By the end of April, we will be adding a UI option that allows users to turn these specific benchmark optimizations on and off. This enables anyone to see the hardware potential of the top Intel Arc for fully optimized workloads, as well as performance on average benchmarks. When the toggle is in place, and benchmark optimization is disabled by default, the test score will be considered valid by UL.

The current version number of the graphics driver is displayed as “30.0.101.1330 (Latest)”, and the update time is April 8th. At the moment we don’t know when Intel’s latest drivers will be released, but they have been slow to update drivers.

IT House has reported a lot of news about Intel’s driver release delay and apology. For example, three days after Intel’s 11th-generation desktop processors went on sale, Intel’s official website still does not have the official version of the latest nuclear display driver available for download.
