From the creators of Shadow Warrior, Evil West aims to retell myths and legends in a stylized and twisted Wild West universe this fall.
Developer studio Flying Wild Hog and publisher Focus Entertainment have announced that Evil West, which was announced about a year and a half ago, will be released on September 20, 2022 for PC via Steam, Playstation 5, Xbox Series, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. A new trailer has also been released that goes into the comparatively unusual setting and also includes a few gameplay scenes.
In Evil West, players slip into the role of one of the last agents of a top secret vampire hunter institute and fight their way through numerous hordes of different monsters in the Wild West to save the United States of America from this bloodthirsty menace. The game aims to offer explosive and handsome combat from a third-person perspective with various firearms, a “lightning-fast” glove and various gadgets.
Players can choose to face the beasts solo or in co-op with a friend as they slaughter through the story-driven campaign, upgrading weapons and hunting tools. As part of this, you can also unlock new perks to develop your monster-slaying skills and customize your own playstyle.
On Steam Evil West can already be pre-ordered for 49.99 euros, with a skin pack in the form of an outfit and golden weapon skins as a bonus for pre-orders. According to the information on the shop page, there is no German language output, although there are German texts. Meanwhile, the system requirements for the cowboy vampire action game are yet to follow.
