Among them, the “Planning” points out that it will focus on developing five pillar industries, including core industries of the digital economy, intelligent networking and new energy vehicles, green petrochemicals and new materials, biomedicine and health, and modern high-end equipment.

IT House learned that the “Planning” proposes to build an intelligent networked and new energy vehicle industry cluster, and measures include strengthening the innovation of the R&D system platform, accelerating the construction of networking infrastructure, creating a demonstration area for automobile circular economy, and optimizing the industrial space layout.

Strengthen R&D system platform innovation. Relying on the Guangdong Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, integrate industry-university-research funding resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, accelerate the introduction of innovative resources such as vehicle design, R&D institutions, R&D teams and advantageous technologies to the world, and create an international intelligent connected vehicle industry. Innovation Center. Promote the construction of industrial support platforms such as relevant technical standards, testing and evaluation, and infrastructure for the automotive industry, and encourage the construction of a public service platform for testing and verification of key components of intelligent and connected vehicles, so as to form a systematic service capability that supports the development of the industry. Support OEMs and third-party institutions to build a third-party vehicle comprehensive inspection and testing test field with southern geographical environment and climate characteristics, and improve the verification and testing capabilities of domestic brand vehicles.

Speed up the construction of networking infrastructure. Gradually expand the deployment scope of 5G base stations and LTE-V2X roadside units (RSUs), and promote the transformation and construction of smart towers. Open a demonstration line for autonomous bus applications. Speed up the construction of charging piles. Speed up the construction of intelligent public transportation and intelligent charging system facilities.By 2025, L4 autonomous vehicles will be industrializedto build the country’s leading 5G Internet of Vehicles standard system and a closed test area for intelligent networked vehicles.

To build a demonstration area of automobile circular economy.Establish and improve the dismantling of used vehicles, the recycling of vehicle power batteries, the recycling and disposal of used batteries and solid waste treatment systemsto support enterprises to enter the fields of green recycling and cascade utilization of automobiles, R&D and manufacturing of IoT chips for waste batteries, and financial leasing of power batteries.

Optimize the layout of industrial space. Expand and strengthen the three major automobile industry clusters in the east, north and south, and build an industrial space layout of “one park, two cities and four bases”. Among them, the eastern part focuses on the construction of Zengcheng Automobile Industry Base, Huangpu Automobile Industry Base, and the South China Automobile Production and Export Base of BAIC Group; the northern part focuses on the construction of Huadu Automobile City and Conghua Pearl Industrial Park; the southern part focuses on the construction of GAC Panyu Automobile City and Nansha Automobile Industry Base.
