Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg now announces himself via Facebook (which is owned by Meta) that reactions to messages have begun to roll out to Whatsapp (which is also owned by Meta).
Initially, only a limited number of reactions will be available, but later all emojis will be added.
In addition to the reactions, it will now also be possible to send files of up to two gigabytes via Whatsapp. Previously, the limit was 100 megabytes.
The maximum number of participants in Whatsapp’s group chats will also double from 256 to 512.
It can take up to a week before the new features are available to all Whatsapp users.
