IT House June 7 news, at the WWDC 2022 keynote this morning, Apple announced the launch of a new M2 chip and a new MacBook series, including the MacBook Air with a notch design and the new MacBook Pro.
Unlike the MacBook Pro that launched last October, this computer still uses the design of the 2020 MacBook Pro (13-inch), which means this model is only the entry-level model in the current MacBook Pro line, but it also retains Touch Bar, Thunderbolt port and full screen.
Thanks to the M2 chip, this MacBook Pro is 40% faster than the M1 version, it uses up to 24GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD. Apple promises up to 20 hours of battery life.
IT House learned that this MacBook Pro basically maintains the same design as the 2020 model except for the M2, such as the same 13-inch display, 500 nits of brightness, Thunderbolt interface, support for Wi-Fi 6, and more.
At the same time, this also means that this M2 MacBook Pro uses an active cooling system, which will help Macbook Pro users better handle media applications such as videos and photos without crashing due to overheating.
In terms of pricing, this model will start shipping next month, starting from $1299 in the United States and 9999 yuan in China.
