In May 2021, we learned of The Division: Heartland, a free-to-play game from The Division license currently in development at Red Storm. 2 new game modes on the program?
It’s through tryhardguides that the insider teaches us a little more about The Division: Heartland. During its first reports, it indicated that the title would have two game modes. The first, dubbed Excursion, is a PvE mode in which players must explore the map in search of loot to extract.
He explained at the time that this mode would serve as a tutorial for the “Storm” mode, which mixes PvE and PvP for an experience using the codes of battle royale.
Today he mentions that sources have since provided other key details about the game and that there are now 4 modes planned. In addition to “Storm” and “Excursion”, it details the new “Nightfall” and “Hunt” modes.
Nightfall Mode Details
Nightfall is described as a PvE mode in which the objective is also to collect loot, but players must also complete several objectives like deploying beacons, tracking down targets, or collecting data. Unlike the Storm mode, the extraction is not done via a helicopter, but via accesses at the edge of the map.
Additionally, it states that loot cannot be extracted after dark and players must survive until the next day against AI enemies called “Vultures”.
Hunt mode details
Regarding this 4th and final mode, the insider explains that he has little information to give, but that sources suggest that it would be a more PvP-based mode “without having to do against AI.
Cross-play and imminent release?
