It is reported that the Snapdragon 8 Plus will be built with TSMC’s 4nm process, using a “1+3+4” three-cluster architecture, consisting of a super-large core Cortex X2, a large-core Cortex A710 and a small-core Cortex A510.The main frequency of the CPU is 2.99GHz, the GPU has been slightly upgraded, and the energy efficiency ratio is better than that of the Snapdragon 8.

According to previous whistleblower Yogesh Brar,The overall performance of the TSMC version of the Snapdragon 8 (Snapdragon 8 Plus) will be improved by about 10%.

At the same time, the Snapdragon 8 Plus has good temperature control, stable chip operation, and better battery life than the Snapdragon 8 test machine.

In addition, Samsung’s 4nm factory yield is only 35%, while TSMC’s is as high as 70%.That means, all things being equal, TSMC made twice as many chips as Samsung foundry in the same period.
