Apple is preparing to release major updates to its operating systems, and to this end it is releasing beta builds of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS. Registered developers are the first to receive them, but it is enough to use a special profile – and you will also be able to put these updates among the first. Below is how this can be done.
Which devices are compatible with iOS 16 beta, iPadOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16
- iOS 16 is compatible with iPhone 8 and newer smartphones
- iPadOS 16 is compatible with iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 5th generation, iPad Air 3rd generation and newer, and all iPad Pro models
- watchOS 9 is compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 and later
- macOS 13 Ventura is compatible with iMac 2017, iMac Pro 2017, MacBook Air 2018, MacBook Pro 2017, Mac Pro 2019, Mac mini 2018, MacBook 2017, Mac Studio 2022 and newer computers
How to install iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 beta:
- From your iPhone or iPad go to the site betaprofiles.com and download the configuration profile.
- In the window that appears with a warning about opening “Settings”, click “Allow” and wait for the window to close automatically.
- Go to “Settings” → “General” → “Profile”, select the line iOS 16 & iPadOS 16 Beta Software Profile and click “Install”. Confirm the action by entering the security code.
- For the last time, confirm the installation of the configuration profile and agree to the subsequent reboot of the gadget.
- When the device reboots, go back to Settings → General → Software Update and start downloading iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 Developer beta.
- When the download is complete, click “Install” and wait for the installation to complete.
How to install the macOS 13 Ventura beta:
- Download the file to your computer beta profile.
- Open the profile and install it following the instructions.
- Go to Settings → Software Updates and install the macOS 13 Ventura Developer beta update that appears.
watchOS can be updated through a paired iPhone with at least 50% charge on the watch, and tvOS is updated on the Apple TV using the Xcode utility.
