Apple today announced new USB-C/MagSafe 3 charging cables that match the color of the MacBook Air M2. The cables should be on sale “soon” at a price of 49$.
The cable will be available in the same colors as the new MacBook Air, including grey, silver, dark night and shining star. The cable is also compatible with 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models released last year.
The cable, which also comes with the new MacBook Air, is two meters long and wrapped in fabric for added durability.

This 2m charging cable features a MagSafe 3 magnetic connector to help guide the connector to your Mac laptop’s charging port. Plug it into a compatible USB-C power adapter to conveniently charge your laptop from a wall outlet and take advantage of fast charging capabilities. The magnetic connection is strong enough to withstand most unintentional disconnections, but if someone trips over the cable, it will detach to keep your Mac laptop in place. The LED turns yellow when the battery is being charged and green when it is fully charged. The braid is made of fabric for durability.
Apple hasn’t given a specific release date for the cables.
