“What’s a computer?” One computer in the office and the other at home, one desktop computer and the other laptop, many of you have two machines, which are often two Macs. But why wouldn’t they be iPads?
Without denying its formidable capabilities, I did not regret the 12.9″ iPad Pro shared by the editorial staff, which cluttered my bag and my desk for a few months. The iPad Air 4 is no less versatile, with its Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil, but more convenient, with its 10.9″ screen. This iPad almost pro has done me great service during the confinements…
…and that’s the problem. This tablet bought with my own money has turned into a (tele)working tool. Now an obviously urgent message arrives while I’m reading at the bottom of the sofa, now some necessarily confidential information falls in the middle of a sudoku game, how do you expect me to spend a weekend in peace?
Maybe using a second iPad. The presentation of the iPad mini 6, whose screen has grown significantly, offers me a golden excuse. Without Smart Keyboard, it will be very difficult to type long articles, but with the Apple Pencil and the USB-C port, it will still be possible to use my favorite applications and accessories.
A “big” iPad for working, a “small” iPad for hanging out, it shouldn’t seem more surprising than using two Macs. But does it really work on a daily basis? This is the whole question posed by our new series “Life with two iPads” soon to be published on the iGen Club :
- Life with two iPads for work
- Life with two iPads to relax
- Life with two iPads to get around
