While fans of the license had been waiting for a new episode for a long time, their patience was finally rewarded in 2020 with the release of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The success was immediately there, so much so that some wonder if the adventures of the coolest marsupial in video games could continue in a new opus.
Crash back soon? Did Jez Corden’s tongue fork?
The answer to this question may have been found by Jez Corden. The Windows Central reporter who was recently spotted on the latest Windows Central Xbox Chaturdays podcast hinted that a new Crash Bandicot game is currently in development at Toys For Bob.
This announcement, more than surprising, was dropped by our colleague just after his sidekick, Rand al Thor, suggested that the studio could be designing a new title for the franchise, specifying that it could be presented during of the upcoming Xbox & Bethesda Showcase.
Surprised by al Thor’s information, Corden then sarcastically asked him, “Where did you get that information Rand?” “. Although he did not get an answer, Corden would later confess, “Actually, I wasn’t supposed to divulge that,” thus suggesting that the rumor is true. The game would also be a beat ’em up playable for four.
As you will have understood, this is a rumor and like any rumor, it is therefore necessary to take all this with a grain of salt, even if the principal concerned admitted to continuing to work on the Crash franchise no later than Last year. Despite this, it is important to remember that the studio has recently seen its activities change to become a support structure for the development of Call of Duty games.
Will the rumor become reality? Answer on Sunday, June 12 from 7:00 p.m. on Xboxygen for the Xbox and Bethesda conference hosted by the live editorial staff!
