According to the planning documents, during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, with the acceleration of green and low-carbon transportation, the development of electric vehicles in Suzhou will usher in even greater development space. Combined with the current reality and through model calculations, it is estimated that by 2025, the number of electric vehicles in Suzhou will be about 380,000, and the electrification rate will be about 7.2%. The city has about 7,500 electric buses, about 1,400 electric passenger vehicles, about 4,600 electric taxis, about 23,000 electric car-hailing vehicles, about 1,000 electric sanitation vehicles, and electric logistics. IT Home has learned that at present, Suzhou City has built 694 public charging stations and 5,913 public charging piles, with an average service radius of 2 kilometers. By 2025, there will be 1,843 public charging stations and 35,656 public charging piles in the city. The average service radius of public charging stations in the city is within 1.2 kilometers, of which the average service radius of public charging stations in the core urban area is within 1 km, and the average service radius of public charging stations in other areas is within 1 km. At present, Suzhou has built 271 special charging stations and 2,591 special charging piles. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period,Plan to expand 67, build 208 dedicated charging stations, and add 6,420 dedicated charging piles, mainly distributed in the parking lot of buses, passenger cars, sanitation vehicles, logistics vehicles and other self-owned venues. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period,Suzhou City plans to build 122 new battery swap stationsincluding 75 in the urban area, 6 in Zhangjiagang, 12 in Changshu, 18 in Taicang and 11 in Kunshan.
