MIAMI — The system that drowned out Friday night and most of Saturday in Miami and Fort Lauderdale has strengthened, picked up a name, and is threatening Bermuda. Tropical Storm Alex isn’t South Florida’s problem anymore. The National Hurricane Center’s projected path cone points east, away from the U.S. East Coast. Bermuda, on the other hand, is under Tropical Storm Warning and should be feeling tropical storm effects by Sunday night. The island should take 2 to 3 inches of rain.
