Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation published a list of brands and goods that can be imported into the country without the permission of the copyright holder. In the government, this is called parallel import, which, in essence, is a legalized gray import.

The appearance of such a list means that the listed goods can now be declared at customs and transported into the country without any problems with the law on the part of the Russian Federation. And if earlier the lack of an import permit by the manufacturer or the right holder was punished, now this fact will be turned a blind eye.

What products are included in the list?

It is rather difficult to list everything, since this list is fixed in a 25-page document. For example, Apple, Samsung, Sony and other popular non-Chinese companies appear on the list several times.

There are also automobile brands Land Rover, Jaguar, Bugatti, Toyota, Lexus and other popular and not very popular brands. But the list did not include, for example, Ford, Peugeot, Citroёn. Of the “French” there is only Renault. At the same time, for some reason, the list includes Hummer, which is now represented by one car in the form of a concept, as well as Seat and Acura – brands that have not been officially represented in Russia for several years. And even Tesla, which never delivered its cars to us.

In total, there are 50 car brands on the list, including those that produce commercial vehicles and components for them:

A similar list of stamps appears in a very large number of items. For example, one of the most interesting “Nuclear reactors, boilers, equipment and mechanical devices; their parts (with the exception of goods registered as medical devices). This is the longest listing, spanning four pages. It includes the car brands listed above, as well as products from Apple, ADATA, MSI, Samsung, Western Digital, separately from it, WD and other brands.

Also, for some reason, trademarks were included in some part of the list, and brands were somewhere else. For example, game consoles are labeled as Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo:

Interestingly, the list does not include smartphones, tablets and computers. At the same time, Apple and Samsung products appear in the most unexpected places. For example, in the above category related to the nuclear industry.

Each item has an additional code. For example, in “toys, games and sports equipment” you can see the code 9504 50 000 9. These are clarifying codes for the goods classifier. For example, qualifier code 9504 is “Entertainment, board or indoor games, including pinball tables, pool tables, specialty casino tables, and automatic bowling alley equipment.” At the same time, goods under the code 9506, which include inventory and equipment for sports, were not included in the list.

Also in the list there are cameras of various brands, but there are no lenses for them. Taking into account the fact that now not a single company based outside of China supplies its products to the Russian Federation, it is not very clear what to do for photographers.
