Earlier, according to CCTV news reports, at about 10:30 on June 4, the D2809 passenger train from Guiyang North to Guangzhou South was running at the entrance of the Yuezhai Tunnel in front of the Rongjiang Station of the Guiguang Line when it crashed into a sudden slip and collapsed. The mudslide that invaded the line caused the No. 7 and No. 8 trains to go off the line, injuring one driver, one conductor and seven passengers.

After the off-line accident at the Rongjiang Station of the Guizhou-Guangzhou Railway, the railway department urgently mobilized forces to carry out on-site rescue. The rescue and rescue headquarters organized more than 1,000 people to clean up the sludge and inspect and restore various professional equipment on the site.

At 20:00 last night, the silt had been basically cleaned up, and professionals such as power supply and electric affairs were still conducting equipment inspections on the affected sections in order to get the line through as soon as possible.
