Beijing time on May 5th news, Facebook parent company Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg (Mark Zuckerberg) released a photo on Wednesday, showing the company and European glasses giant Essilor Luxuntica cooperation with a new smart glasses project.
In the photo, Leonardo Del Vecchio, chairman of Essilor, wears a prototype neural interface wristband designed to control other devices.

Zuckerberg said he was in Milan discussing plans for new smart glasses with Essilor Luxuntica. “Leonardo is working on a prototype of our neural interface electromyography (EMG) wristband that will finally let you control your glasses and other devices.” He ended his post with a smiley emoji wearing sunglasses .
Meta said in a blog post last year that it planned to develop a wristband that could control augmented reality glasses, allowing users to interact with virtual worlds through finger movements. Last October, Facebook changed its name to Meta to highlight its metaverse strategy.
