The ambitious MMO The Day Before will finally not be released this summer. The game openly inspired by The Last of Us and The Division is being pushed back, but for good reason.

Good and bad news for The Day Before. The Russian game has been a big hit since its announcement. And his assumed airs of The Last of Us, The Division and a handful of other post-apocalyptic games are no stranger to it. However, like most current productions, the title goes through the postponement box a few months before its release, but that’s not a bad thing.

A big delay for The Day Before

Big delay in perspective for The Day Before. Halfway between The Last of Us, The Division or even State of Decay, the game has established itself as the most desired title on Steam, just that. And for good reason, the Fntastic MMO has not ceased to impress over the presentations with its beautiful plastic and attractive gameplay. Many are those who were eager to put their hands on it in June, but we will have to wait a long time.

The Russian studio has announced that The Day Before will not finally be released until March 1, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. A big delay certainly, but it is potentially for a good cause. The developers have decided to switch the game to Unreal Engine 5. Inevitably, they need additional time to convert their data and fully honor Epic Games’ brand new engine, which promises to work wonders.

A post-apocalyptic MMO with big ambitions

Millions of gamers have added The Day Before to their Steam wishlist, making it one of the most anticipated games in the world. Feeling and understanding the great responsibility incumbent on us, not without immense gratitude, we are happy to announce that The Day Before is moving to Unreal Engine 5! The transition to a more advanced, open-world engine will make gameplay even more fantastic.

The move to Unreal Engine 5 should help this studio unknown to the battalion achieve its almost disproportionate ambitions. The Day Before will indeed be set in a post-apocalyptic universe mixing action and survival. Players will be able to make alliances, face other clans and take part in big battles against “infected”. Everything will be carried by an open world announced as gargantuan with urban cities, underground passages and greener countryside. There is enough to make you salivate and we hope that the transition to the UE5 will be life-saving for him.
