German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht called for greater efforts to promote security and peace in south-eastern Europe at the outset of her visit to the Balkans on Wednesday. “We must ensure that this region remains stable. That is the only guarantee that a rapprochement with NATO and the EU is possible,” Lambrecht said in Bosnia-Herzegovina’s capital Sarajevo.
