Update: A day after Apple made watchOS 8.6 Beta 4 available to developers, Apple is now making it available to public beta testers as well.

A week after the release of watchOS 8.6 beta 3 to developers, Apple is now launching the fourth test version of the upcoming Apple Watch operating system. Here’s everything new coming to watchOS 8.6 beta 4.

Today’s build is 19T5570a. Most of the news related to this release is about Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, which are also available in iOS 15.5 beta 4. Here are the updates:

Physical Apple Card is now called “Titanium Card” in Apple Pay Wallet settings renamed to “Apple Cash” in Messages app iTunes Pass is renamed to “Apple Account Card” in Wallet app

According to the analysis, iTunes Pass will become a new card called “Apple Account Card”. This card will appear in the Wallet app in the same way as Apple Card and Apple Cash. Thus, instead of showing a QR code when making purchases in the Apple Store, the user will be able to make a purchase using Apple Pay.

Unlike watchOS 8.5, watchOS 8.6 looks like a small update as we get closer to the WWDC 2022 keynote. The current version of the Apple Watch operating system brings several new features, including 37 new emoji.

It also brings:

Ability to authorize Apple TV purchases and subscriptions; COVID-19 vaccination cards in Apple Wallet, which now supports the EU COVID digital certificate format; Irregular rhythm notification updates to improve atrial fibrillation identification (available in the US, Chile, Hong Kong, South Africa and many regions where this feature is available); Audio cues in Fitness+ provide audio commentary for visually demonstrated movements during workouts.
