The current banner of Update 2.6 in Genshin Impact will be extended. Players are currently enjoying how much time is left for the wish.







At the end of April, the developers of miHoYo Update 2.7 for Genshin Impact officially postponed. The studio wanted to announce which content will follow until the next patch. Now it has become known that the current wish banner with Kamisato Ayaka will simply be extended. In the game itself, a fairly long remaining time is displayed, which the players are currently amusing about.

Players won’t get rid of Ayaka that easily

The players had actually expected a new live stream for the upcoming update 2.7 for “Genshin Impact”. But then the developers had to announce that the next patch for the action game would be postponed. Rumors of a delay have been around for weeks, so the community took the news fairly well. The miHoYo developers have not given a reason for the postponement. However, it can be assumed that the current situation with the corona virus in Shanghai has to do with the postponement.



It is now also known how the game will continue in the meantime. The current wish banner with Kamisato Ayaka was supposed to end on May 10th, but is now being extended. It is not yet known how long the Cryo character will last. In the game, the remaining time is given as 240 days. However, this should be a placeholder to react to the situation in Shanghai.

The relatively long remaining time for the banner causes both concern and laughter in the community. Players joke that Ayaka is now a yandere character that the community can’t get rid of. In Japanese pop culture, a yandere is a character type that feels an intense affection or love for another person, which over time can turn into a destructive obsession. Some players also compare Ayaka to the also obsessive character Monika “Doki Doki Literature Club!”.
