AVM is sending the next FRITZ!BOX into the running for the upcoming FRITZ!OS 7.50. FRITZ!Box 6850 LTE receives the initial laboratory version 07.39-96343 today. As with the other boxes, there are a number of new functions and improvements.

New functions and improvements in FRITZ!OS 7.39

  • Cellular: Improvement New software for the cellular modem with improved stability of the cellular connection
  • Internet:
  • NEW Support for WireGuard VPN connections [3]
  • NEW Direct connection to MyFRITZ!Net via USP (TR-369) for direct transmission of parameters – first display of the connection status, the connection parameters and updates to MyFRITZ!Net (only for FRITZ!OS versions in the FRITZ!Laboratory)
  • Improvement Automatic prioritization ensures fairness in bandwidth distribution in the entire FRITZ!Box network (home and guest network)
  • Improved display of the data flow from the guest network with IPv6 in the “Online Monitor”
  • Improvement Improvement When switching to public DNS servers automatically, the public DNS server used is displayed in the online monitor
  • Improvement When activating Internet access to storage media via FTP/FTPS, the randomly assigned port number is displayed

  • Improvement When changing the encryption to “unencrypted” on the Mesh Master, the activation of the 5 GHz radio network is ensured and WLAN devices are correctly logged off if necessary
