A high school student remains hospitalized with significant injuries following a crash that killed a fellow student Wednesday morning in South Jersey. A 16-year-old Schalick High School student was at the wheel of a Kia Optima around 6:15 a.m. when he disregarded a stop sign on McKishen Road at the intersection with Buck Road in Pittsgrove Township, police said. The car traveled across Buck and off the roadway before going airborne and slamming into a tree at Deer Pen Park. A 15-year-old passenger, also a student at Schalick High, died in the crash.
