The graphic overhaul of two original games was announced last February, and should celebrate the 25th anniversary of the license. Yashihiko Arai’s big-eared cat therefore sees its adventures of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile and Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil be remastered in Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series planned on Xbox One and Xbox Series for the July 8, 2022. As the game’s release approaches, Bandai Namco offers us a comparative video of the different opuses. More shimmering colors, more marked contrasts will allow you to discover the universe of Klonoa and his friend Hewpoe (or Huepow) in Phantomile.
The 2.5D platform game should offer several levels of difficulty as well as a coop mode. However, the lack of recovery of the cel shading of Klonoa 2 (on PS2 originally) can make the title lose its charm.
Attention, if you have a migraine in progress, we advise you to lower the volume, the soundtrack of the trailer being somewhat… heady.
