Today we celebrate the star wars daya special day for fans of Star Warswhich notably await announcements to come about new films, series or video games.

It will probably be necessary to wait for the Star Wars Celebration from May 26 to 29 to be entitled to real novelties, but in the meantime, we take the opportunity to review the games Star Wars which are currently in developmentwhether already confirmed or teased in some way.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2

  • Studio / Editor : Respawn Entertainment / Electronic Arts
  • Platform : PC – PS5 – Xbox Series (according to the latest rumors)
  • Exit : 2023 (according to the latest rumors)

Probably one of the games Star Wars the most awaited of recent years, thanks to the quality offered with the first episode that is Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderthis sequel should logically show up in the next few days, probably at the Star Wars Celebration, if we are to believe more and more insistent rumors.

It is not yet known what this sequel would turn to, but the first episode to leave obvious avenues to explore, which could also ensure that Cal Kestis crosses paths with other well-known characters from the saga.

We can only cross our fingers, hoping that the fan-service is well used and that the title surprises us as on the first opus, with well-controlled lightsaber fights and successful characters (BD-1, we t ‘love).

Star Wars: Hunter

star wars hunters 1

  • Studio / Editor : BossAlien / Zynga
  • Platform : Switch-iOS-Android
  • Exit : 2022

Probably not the game Star Wars the best known or most anticipated on the list, but Star Wars: Hunter will satisfy mobile and Switch players who are looking for a fairly ambitious free-to-play.

The game is mainly oriented towards the field of multiplayer, with matches in 4 against 4 and unique characters, grouped into three different classes and all of which have unique ways of fighting, with for example, heroes armed with blasters, while others will use their fists or a lightsaber.

We still cross our fingers so that the economic model does not encroach too much on the gaming experience, Star Wars: Hunter will at least allow you to wait until the release of more major titles.

star wars eclipse

star wars eclipse 2

  • Studio / Editor : Quantic Dream
  • Platform : Unknown
  • Exit : Unknown

Game rumors Star Wars by the french studio Quantic Dream were confirmed at the last Game Awards, with a first presentation of star wars eclipse. A presentation which was also perhaps a little too early compared to the rest of the project if we are to believe the rumors of the corridor.

This ambitious game should change the game a bit regarding the studio’s DNA, since it would present itself as an action and adventure game, which would still keep its mechanics of choice and an important gallery of characters. The particularity of this episode is that it takes place during the High Republica new era created fairly recently by Disney, which takes place approximately 200 years before the events of the prequel.

It is not yet known when the title will be released, or what it will really look like.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake

  • Studio / Publisher : Aspyr / Lucasfilm Games
  • Platform :PC-PS5
  • Exit : Unknown

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republicalso called KOTORis probably one of the games Star Wars the most appreciated by the community. BioWare’s RPG had the distinction of featuring now-iconic characters, like Revan, and presented us with an exciting time to experience.

Decades later, the studio Aspyr is entrusted with a titanic task, which consists in reviving the game through a remake. Announced during a PlayStation Showcase, since it is a PlayStation console exclusive, the game only showed a brief teaser, while information on its gameplay is pending.

It is rumored that this remake would be more action-oriented than the original gamewhich would not really be a surprise, just to better stick to current standards.

A Star Wars FPS and strategy game from EA

Ea star wars 4

  • Studio / Publisher : Respawn Entertainment / Bit Reactor / Electronic Arts
  • Platform : Unknown
  • Exit : Unknown

At the house of Electronic Artsall the license has been entrusted to Respawn Entertainment, much to DICE’s annoyance. We not only had confirmation that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2or whatever its name, was going to happen soon, but also that two other Star Wars projects were in the works.

The first will be a Star Wars FPS, entrusted to one of the Respawn teams led by Peter Hirschmannwho knows the license well and who also worked on the series Medal of Honor. Unfortunately, nothing more is known about this project, but with the studio’s mastery in the field of FPS, fans are waiting to see what it will lead to.

The second project is more surprising since it is a strategy game Star Wars. The latter was assigned to Bit Reactora new studio founded by alumni of the series XCOM. Respawn will, however, be around to oversee this project, of which nothing more is known at this time.

Ubisoft’s Star Wars game

Ubisoft

  • Studio / Editor : Ubisoft Massive / Ubisoft
  • Platform : Unknown
  • Exit : Unknown

Ubisoft also launched an assault on the saga Star Warsannouncing at the start of 2021 that the French publisher was currently working on an open world gameentrusted to the teams ofUbisoft Massivethe studio known for having worked on the series The Division.

Unfortunately, nothing is known about this game except that it should use the studio’s internal engine, namely the Snowdrop engine. This is probably a title that will not see the light of day before 2024, at the earliest, since Ubisoft Massive is already very busy on the development of the game. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandorawhich is currently scheduled to be released at the end of 2022, if it is not postponed in the meantime (which would also cause this game to be postponed Star Wars).

Skydance’s Star Wars game

star wars skydance 5

  • Studio / Editor : Skydance New Media / Lucasfilm Games
  • Platform : Unknown
  • Exit : Unknown

Arguably the game on this list that will be released the latest. I have to say that Skydance New Media is a brand new major studio, under the leadership ofAmy Henningknown for having worked on the saga Uncharted.

With the director’s CV, it was no surprise to learn that this new project would be action-adventure orientedprobably in the same vein as what Hennig intended to do at Visceral Games with Project Ragtag, before the studio closed its doors. But before we find out more about this game, Skydance New Media will already be busy with a Marvel game, which we also don’t know anything about.

Even if the studio has more and more talent, it is hard to imagine that the two projects are developed simultaneously at the same pace, suggesting that the Marvel game will be known before this game. Star Wars.
