In May, Google, OnePlus, Honor, Oppo and other brands showed us their new products. We will focus on the most interesting of them and talk about them in more detail. Although supply issues may make the buying process more difficult than usual, this is no reason not to talk about the latest in the world of smartphones.

Honor 70 Pro+ is the new flagship of Honor

The Honor 70 Pro+ features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ (2652 x 1200 pixels) OLED screen at 429 ppi. The device also has a screen-to-body ratio of 91.1%. The display supports a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1 billion colors.

Under the hood of the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, manufactured using a 4nm process. This flagship processor, built by MediaTek for performance new products in 2022. Does the phone come in 8/12GB RAM options? A constant in it is available up to 256 GB. Since this is a flagship smartphone, there is no space for a memory card.

The Honor 70 Pro+ has a triple camera setup with a 54MP primary sensor (f/1.9 and PDAF). There is also an 8 MP telephoto lens (PDAF, OIS, 3X zoom). The ultra-wide lens received a resolution of 50 megapixels (f / 2.2). The selfie camera offers a resolution of 50 megapixels.

The Honor 70 Pro+ also has stereo speakers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and GPS. The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

Google Pixel 6a – Inexpensive Pixel

Google also took the opportunity to introduce the Google Pixel 6a smartphone. It is equipped 6.1″ Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Unfortunately, the refresh rate of the phone is only 60Hz. The phone, like the flagships of the line, has decent performance with its own Google Tensor processor. There is only one version of memory – 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory.

In terms of photography, the Google Pixel 6a has a 12.2MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. As usual, there are smart features here such as Magic Eraser, Real Tone and Face Unblur. The phone also has a USB Type C port, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6e and NFC. It will be one of the first smartphones to receive Android 13 right after its release. A total of three years of Android updates and five years of security updates will be offered.

It remains to add only about the 4300 mAh battery and support for fast charging. True, Google did not disclose the exact power, but it can be assumed that it is approximately 20 watts.

Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ Is Oppo’s Most Powerful Phone

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ features a 6.7-inch 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2412×1080 pixels, 93.4% screen-to-body ratio, 100% coverage of DCI-P3 range and peak brightness up to 950 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and runs Dimensity 8100 Max with camera performance enhancement features. The phone offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS3.1 storage.

The phone runs ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 and offers all modern connectivity features – Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and a Type-C port.

OnePlus Ace Racing Edition – OnePlus with a big battery

Some time ago, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Ace Racing smartphone. Now the company adds to it new Racing Edition. This is a cheaper option but provides the same performance.

The OnePlus Ace Racing Edition features a 6.59-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate support. In the upper left corner there is a cutout for the front camera. Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset. It is paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, which cannot be expanded. The phone has a 5000mAh battery with 67W Super Flash charging support.

On the back of the phone, there is a triple camera – 64 MP (main), 8 MP (super wide) and 2 MP (macro). For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 16MP front camera.

The Racing Edition runs Android 12 out of the box with ColorOS 12.1 on top. There are even features like a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, AI face unlock, 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC. At the moment, nothing is known about the global release, but it is assumed that in other countries the smartphone will be sold as OnePlus 10R Lite.

The Vivo S15 Pro features a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 92.7% screen-to-body ratio, 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR content. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 clocked at up to 2.85GHz. The phone comes with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS3.1 storage. It feeds on 4500 mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.
