German carmarkers BMW and Mercedes-Benz are selling their joint car-sharing subsidiary Share Now to multinational automotive corporation Stellantis, the companies announced on Tuesday. Following the takeover, which still requires regulatory approval, Stellantis, which already owns Fiat, Peugeot, Opel and Chrysler, will position its mobility subsidiary Free2move as a “leading car-sharing company.” Share Now is the leading European car sharing app, with 11,000 cars in 16 European cities that can be picked up or dropped off anywhere.
