The AnTuTu benchmark rating has been updated. Now it is dominated by the Black Shark 5 Pro smartphone, released by Xiaomi under its gaming brand.
The Black Shark 5 Pro scores over 106 million on AnTuTu, which is higher than its closest competitors. This smartphone uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and the leadership is probably provided by a more efficient cooling system, thanks to which the chip does not degrade performance even when working under maximum load for a long time. It is possible that its speed was also positively affected by a larger amount of RAM – 16 GB (and not 12 GB, like competitors).
The AnTuTu benchmark consists of several tests. In particular, the performance of the central processor, graphics accelerator, RAM and storage is tested, as well as the speed of the user interface. Nine out of ten smartphones in the updated AnTuTu rating work with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, and only one model has the Dimensity 9000 chip developed by MediaTek. Smartphones with Huawei Kirin and Samsung Exynos processors are no longer in the top. And if in the case of Huawei this can be explained by the fact that this company stopped developing its own production of processors due to sanctions from the United States and the termination of the contract with TSMC, at whose factories they were assembled, then Samsung’s lag is difficult to understand.
The Black Shark 5 Pro sells for around $1,000 in China. In Russia, it can be bought for 60-80 thousand rubles.
